Just a few lines to bring you
up to date with a few things happening in our neck of the woods.
The Master for our FINAL CD
has been completed, and is in the throes of being pressed, and AMCOS are
doing their thing, so some progress is being made.
The most recent guest at The
Hillbilly Club at Waitara, was ANNE MONTGOMERY, and we completely forgot
about the event. The usual great crowd was present. A lady we spoke to,
described Anne as a Country Rock singer, she now lives in the area, and is
obviously still active as a performer. We remember her from a visit we
paid to The Gold Guitars in Gore, way back in the 70s.
Last month, we flew to
Nelson, for the wedding of Hannah, one of our twin granddaughters, a really
grand occasion, and while we were there, we paid a visit to the club day for
The Stoke Old-time Country Music Club, where we were made most welcome, and
we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We sang several songs, and sold a few
CDs.
I have been asked to share
the responsibilities as a presenter at Radio Access Taranaki (104.4fm) and
have been in, and recorded my first two programmes, each of an hour long.
The broadcast dates will be
announced in due course, but you are invited to tune-in, to the
"live-streaming", the TARANAKI COUNTRY MUSIC SHOWS are broadcast
every Tuesday at 10am, and repeated on Saturdays at 1pm.
ANNE PASCOE has an hour-long
show on another local radio station, on 106.7fm every Wednesday at 8pm. The
station is at Welbourn, on Oriental Street, and I understand it is being
streamed live, but I have been unsuccessful in getting it on line, to date.
